1. From the application tray, touch Settings > Applications > Messaging.
2. In the SMS Settings section, change any of the following settings:
* Delivery Reports—select the check box to request a delivery report for each SMS message you send.
* Manage SIM Card Messages—copy or delete SMS messages stored on your SIM card. Touch and hold a message, and select Copy to phone memory or Delete.
3. In the MMS Settings section, change any of the following settings:
* Delivery Reports—select the check box to request a delivery report for each MMS message you send.
* Read Reports—select the check box to request a read report for each MMS message you send.
* Auto-retrieve—select the check box to retrieve MMS messages automatically when you are not roaming.
* Roaming Auto-retrieve—select the check box to retrieve MMS messages automatically when you are roaming.
* Creation Mode—select Restricted to limit the size and type of MMS message attachments for compatibility with all carriers. Select Unrestricted to remove these restrictions.
4. In the Notifications section, change any of the following settings:
* Notifications—select the check box to view a notification in the status bar when you receive a message.
* Select ringtone—select a ringtone to play when you receive a message.
* Vibrate—select the check box to have the device vibrate when you receive a message.
