Adding an E-mail Account

Your device can automatically configure account information for some e-mail accounts. These accounts only require you to enter minimal account information, such as your e-mail address and e-mail password.

If additional information is required, your device prompts you to enter the required information. Contact your e-mail account provider for configuration information.

1. From the application tray, touch Email.

2. Touch Add Account, or touch > Manage Accounts > Add Account.

3. Select a mail-server type. To set up an Exchange ActiveSync® account, see Setting Up Your Exchange Account.

4. Enter your e-mail address and your e-mail password, and touch Done.

5. To make this account the default account for sending mail, select the check box.

6. Touch Save.

7. If necessary, enter account-configuration information from your e-mail service provider.

8. Touch Next to test the account settings.

9. Touch Save to save the account settings.

You can edit the account settings using the E-mail settings.
